For my final project, I turned my favorite music festival into a webventure. From what I could tell, most of the examples and most of what my classmates are doing are Buzzfeed-style quizzes with different outcomes. I wanted to create a space that you could explore and almost feel like you are there. While it is fairly realistic as far as what Lost Lands is actually like, it's also pretty silly. There are seven different stages at the festival. I put an artist at each stage that I have seen at Lost Lands and created art based on that artist. Most of the stages are known for specific sub-genres of EDM, so I tried to stay true to that. For each artist, I created a GIF that I felt captured their vibe, at least based on my interpretation of that artist. For my other deliverables, I used photoshop to add in other elements of "decor". This includes the tent and village you see on the home page, the bone on the start page, the map and the pins on it, etc. This was my favorite project I have done so far because it was something that I was actually excited about. I had to imagine myself back at the festival again to make a somewhat realistic webventure. This took me to my happy place and I'm happy that I will be able to take other people there as well.
